Former Starbucks making coffee barista and now currently a 911 dispatcher, I have been with a County Sheriff’s office
for eight years, four dispatching and four in another department. I have a geeky blog
Superheroes.xyz where I’ve been sharing my love of all things geeky for about five years now. I have met so many wonderful people and had many awesome experiences due to it; one of them is Attitudes In Reverse. I discovered AIR on social media during a Supernatural (the TV Show) Convention in 2015 and knew I had to get involved somehow! In my job, I receive calls of people needing help, wanting to end their lives, needing someone to talk to and some doing it over the phone, or loved ones discovering those who couldn’t fight anymore. They range from all ages, but also getting younger and younger. Knowing a program like AIR is out there helps me get through these calls. My father was sick with heart failure for many years and I know how important awareness is of issues that many face yet can be invisible to others. I volunteer whenever possible and through my blog, I have been able to help AIR and other artists with social media platforms. Merging things I love together is the best, helping people, bringing awareness to mental health and other worthy causes, being there for people — it’s an indescribable feeling. I look forward to the future with AIR and helping anyway I can.
