Rosetta Treece
Rosetta D. Treece, EdD, and her dog, Bruno Mars, joined the AIR Dogs: Paws for Minds Therapy Dog program in the summer 2020. Rosetta and Bruno Mars were the first group of staff dogs from Hopewell Valley School District to be certified as part of AIR’s School Therapy Dog program.
Rosetta brings Bruno to her workplace in the district’s central offices, but he also is a popular visitor to the district’s elementary schools.
“He’s providing therapy to everyone,” she said. “He loves the younger kids; that’s his favorite.”
Rosetta has supported AIR and volunteered for a variety of events, with and without her dog.
She was named HVRSD’s Superintendent in August 2021. She previously served the district as the Director for Curriculum and Instruction since 2016 and was elevated to Assistant Superintendent in 2020.
